Norabelle

Here's the latest blister inducing work I've done for Static Caravan. The release is a limited edition of 100 vinyl CD in a hand made, screen printed sleeve, made from rather lovely recycled card with a paper insert. If you happen to miss out on getting hold of a copy then Norabelle are also self releasing the ep (which will include my design). Don't think either are available just yet though so there should be no exscuses.

Cheval Sombre

After working on both Cheval Sombre singles released on Static Caravan Chris (aka cs) asked if I'd like to work with him on the artwork for his album. Of course I was delighted to be asked and jumped at the chance. The design, rather than being solely illustration based, is more a collaboration of Chris' vision and my own special...er...design know how. The album is available from the 28th of April on Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips' Double Feature Records and it's a diamond so go seek it out.

The Joyful Bewilderment Part Deux

Ok kids heres your second chance to witness the wonderous work that makes up the Joyful Bewilderment. This time round the show is being exhibited at the rather fine Analogue Books in Edinburgh. The show will run from 28th of March to 28th of April. There is quite a tight turn around for the work being installed and the private view (same day) and I'm gonna do all thats in my power to be there...that said I'm feeling pretty weak in the pocket so I may just be sat on my sofa getting fatter while you lot lord it up.

Dear Miss Hubbard...

Sometime last year I was asked by James Bourne from Them Lot if I'd like to be part of an exhibition he was curating. The theme of the show is based on an unopened, since 1970, letter addressed to a Miss J.E.Hubbard and the imaginings of a group of Solihull school children regarding what might be contained within. The children wrote their own letters which were then sent out to the contributing artists. My own letter, which due to the passing of time between being asked and recieving caused my brain much confusion upon reading, was a letter congratulating Miss Hubbard on winning a once in a lifetime journey to the moon. Ace!

The exhibition is being held in the main exhibition space of the Solihull Arts Complex and runs from March 16th to May 16th and will contain work by James Bourne, Simon Peplow, Andy Council and a whole host of others including those little imagineers.
